"Financial Statements of Japanese Banks" for the First Half of Fiscal 2002

The Bank of Japan today released data for "Financial Statements of Japanese Banks" for the first half of fiscal 2002.

Starting from this release, the Bank has expanded data coverage in three ways. First, the data cover the period from fiscal 1982 to 1988. Second, data for the first half of each fiscal year are included. And third, data are taken from 15 trust bank subsidiaries, nine foreign trust banks, and three on-line internet banks, as well as from 14 major banks (seven city banks, two long-term credit banks, and five trust banks) and 120 regional banks (64 member banks of the Regional Banks Association of Japan and 56 member banks of the Second Association of Regional Banks).
