Release Schedule of the 2005 base Corporate Goods Price Index

The schedule for the revision of the Corporate Goods Price Index (CGPI) from the 2000 base to the 2005 base is as follows:
The Bank will discontinue the 2000 base CGPI after the release of the preliminary indexes of October 2007 and indexes of September 2007 scheduled on November 12. The retroactive figures of the 2005 base CGPI, covering the period from January 2005 to September 2007, will be released on December 4, followed by the monthly figures of the 2005 base CGPI on December 12.

- With the revision of the CGPI mentioned above, the Bank will change some compilation methods of the Input-Output Price Index of the Manufacturing Industry by Sector (IOPI). The Bank released the "Modification of the Input-Output Price Index of the Manufacturing Industry by Sector (IOPI) in accordance with the revision of CGPI -- A request for the public comments on our method for compiling the indexes" (available only in Japanese) on August 8, 2007, but has not received any comments so far. Therefore, we have modified some compilation methods in line with our proposed revision.
