The Bank of Japan Quarterly Bulletin was introduced in 1993 as a means of presenting the Bank's research on economic and financial developments and providing information on activities conducted by the Bank.  With the widespread use of the Internet in recent years, however, more timely distribution of information has been made possible via the Bank's web site.  Thus, to provide information more efficiently and effectively, the Bank will cease publication of the Quarterly Bulletin , with the November 2006 issue as the last issue. 

Reports, such as those that have been published in the Quarterly Bulletin , will be made available under a new section, "BOJ Reports & Research Papers," on the Bank's web site from January 29, 2007.
