Notice on "Average Contract Interest Rates on Loans and Discounts"

Of the data in "Average Contract Interest Rates on Loans and Discounts," regarding the items below, there is discontinuity between figures through April 2014 and those thereafter due to changes in the aggregation methods of some financial institutions.

Figures for periods allowing for revisions will be retroactively revised for release in February 2015, together with the figures for December 2014. A notice will be posted on the web site upon release of the revised figures.

Please keep in mind the above when referring to the relevant data.

  • New Loans and Discounts
    • Short-term (domestically licensed banks)
    • Long-term (domestically licensed banks)
    • Total (domestically licensed banks)

Data on all other items in the statistics (including those by type of bank, namely, city banks, regional banks, regional banks II, and shinkin banks) are expected to be unaffected by this revision.
