Planned Release of Values Presented in Smaller Units of Measurement for Balance of Payments Related Statistics

From January 12, 2018, data for Balance of Payments related statistics in the BOJ Time-Series Data Search will include values in smaller units of measurement in respective data series; namely, they will be represented as decimals. Specific changes to the presentation of data are shown in the table below.

This change will apply to data series under "Balance of Payments (Data Based on the BPM6)" of "Balance of Payments [BP01]" in the BOJ Time-Series Data Search, except for "Seasonal Factors" data under "Balance of Payments."

  • Data series under Historical Data Rearranged Based on the BPM6 other than the International Investment Position of Japan
100 million yen Figures will include eight decimal places, with the last being down to one yen
