Irving Fisher CommitteeOctober 30, 2009 Irving Fisher Committee on Central Bank Statistics (IFC, http://www.bis.org/ifc/index.htm) is a forum of central bank economists and statisticians to discuss statistical issues of interest to central banks. The IFC was established in 1997 and operates under the auspices of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) from 2006. Chihiro Sakuraba, Deputy Director-General, Research and Statistics Department of the Bank of Japan, has been the vice-chairman of the IFC Executive meeting since August 2009.
