Enhancing the publicly released projection of "Reserve Balances"

The Bank of Japan will move the timing of the release of the projection of "Reserve Balances", which is currently released at around 9:20 a.m., forward to around 8:00 a.m., from 16 April.

The level at which the figure is rounded will also be made smaller, at the ¥ 100 billion level from the current ¥ 200 billion.

These measures are intended to improve the quality of the data provided to the market, which may be more helpful for transactions among market participants.

Projections on the amount of current account balance for the day will also be released at the same timing.
