Release of "Effects of the Official CPI Base Year Revision on the CPI (Less Fresh Food and Energy)"

The Bank of Japan's Research and Statistics Department releases the CPI (less fresh food and energy) in the research data "Measures of Underlying Inflation" on a monthly basis. In line with the revision of the base year from 2010 to 2015 in the official CPI data published by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications, which are the main data source of "Measures of Underlying Inflation," the Bank will publish its 2015-base data of the CPI (less fresh food and energy) for the January-June 2016 period.
Data will be available in the following section of the Bank's website at around 2:00 p.m. on August 15, 2016:

The 2015-base data of other indicators (trimmed mean, diffusion index of increasing/decreasing items, mode, and weighted median) for the January-June 2016 period will be published with the July data to be released on August 31, 2016, three business days after the release of the official CPI data for July 2016.
