Data Revision of the Monetary Survey

The Bank of Japan has revised the Monetary Survey due to the release of the Flow of Funds Accounts (FFA) conforming to the 2008SNA.

Figures of the Monetary Survey are retroactively revised from March 2005, which corresponds to the start date of the revised FFA, through January 2016. The above revision creates a discontinuity between the time series data up to February 2005 and data of March 2005. The revised data are available in "BOJ Time-Series Data Search."

The changes in the figures for March 2005 by the above revision are listed below.
