[A View of the Banknotes Examination Room]
This is the banknotes examination room.
The Bank counts the number of returned banknotes, and also checks every one with high quality machines to find out if there are any counterfeits or damaged banknotes. This operation, called examination, ensures that people can use clean banknotes and have confidence in their genuineness.
Reusable ones will be put into circulation again in the economy through the financial institutions. Worn-out banknotes are shredded into small pieces.
