The Bank of Japan has today launched its Twitter accounts to enhance its communication with the public.

The links to the Bank's official Twitter accounts are as follows.

• Japanese: @Bank_of_Japan_j

Only these two are the Bank's official Twitter accounts.

These accounts provide updates on new releases on the Bank's web site.  In addition, the Bank may, when necessary, as in cases of emergency, communicate its messages through these accounts.

The Bank will continue to work to provide clear and easily accessible information to the public.
