Release of "Final Report on the Results of the Public Consultation on the Market Functioning Survey concerning Climate Change"

The Bank of Japan released "Final Report on the Results of the Public Consultation on the Market Functioning Survey concerning Climate Change" today.

The Bank published a public consultation on "Market Functioning Survey concerning Climate Change" in December 2021 and solicited comments on the survey, including the survey topics.1 The Bank received valuable comments from a total of 45 entities from Japan and abroad, including institutional investors, financial institutions, business corporates, rating agencies, and think tanks. The Bank is appreciative of all the comments it received.

This report summarizes the results of the public consultation and explains the Bank's plan going forward.

The Bank plans to conduct the first round of the survey in fiscal 2022, as soon as the necessary preparations have been completed, taking into account the results of the public consultation.
