The Bank, pursuant to Article 54 of the Bank of Japan Act, prepares and submits the Semiannual Report on Currency and Monetary Control to the Diet, twice a year. The report covers economic and financial developments in Japan, and the Bank's conduct of monetary policy and measures taken. The Bank also makes reports to both houses of the Diet, the House of Representatives and the House of Councillors.
