Updated and Increased Bank of Japan FAQs

The Bank of Japan provides helpful answers to frequently asked questions about its functions and business operations, as well as related topics on the English web page entitled Bank of Japan FAQs, as part of its commitment to enhancing communication with the public.

Since the launch of the web page with 27 FAQs in December 2015, the Bank has updated the FAQs to reflect changes in monetary policy and added 50 more questions that it considered would help foster better understanding among the public about the Bank.

The Bank hopes that the FAQs will continue to be of assistance to the wider public in terms of addressing their interest in the Bank and issues relating to it.
