Second Loan Disbursement under the "Temporary Lending Facility to Support Firms' Financing Activities"

On January 20, 1999, the Bank of Japan will make its second loan disbursement under the "Temporary Lending Facility to Support Firms' Financing Activities". The number of financial institutions which will receive loans and also loan amount in the second disbursement, as well as loan amount outstanding following the second disbursement, are as follows:

  Regional banks and regional banks II : 97.0 billion yen
  Others : 130.6 billion yen
• Amount outstanding following the second disbursement
  Number of financial institutions : 70
  Total amount outstanding : 1,035.6 billion yen

  City banks, long-term credit banks, and trust banks : 714.7 billion yen
  Regional banks and regional banks II : 130.0 billion yen
  Others : 190.9 billion yen
