Discontinuation of the Compilation and Release of Statistical Data in Financial Statements of Japanese Banks

The Bank has decided to discontinue the compilation and release of statistical data in Financial Statements of Japanese Banks from the full-year figures for fiscal 2003. The decision is based on the results of the Bank's review of the statistics that was announced and has been conducted since January 2004. Related statistics can be obtained from Financial Statements of All Banks (Link to an external website) released every six months by the Japanese Bankers Association (JBA).

This change is a result of the Bank's ongoing efforts to streamline the compilation process while maintaining user-friendliness.
