Statistics on "Loans Syndicated and Loans Transferred": Succession to the Japanese Bankers Association

The Bank of Japan reached an agreement with the Japanese Bankers Association that the Association will take over the statistics on "Loans Syndicated and Loans Transferred", which have been released by the Bank since December 2003. The Association will start to release the statistics from the end of July 2008 (data during April-June 2008).

The Association is expected to keep the items and the definitions of the statistics unchanged and release them regularly on its homepage. In addition, the past statistics released by the Bank on the Bank's homepage will move to the Association's homepage for the convenience of statistics users.
