Release Schedule of the 2005 base Input-Output Price Index of the Manufacturing Industry by Sector (IOPI)

The schedule for rebasing the Input-Output Price Index of the Manufacturing Industry by Sector (IOPI) from the 2000 base to the 2005 base is as follows:
The 2000 base IOPI will no longer be released. The retroactive figures of the 2005 base IOPI, covering the period from January 2005 to June 2010, will be released around September 14, followed by the monthly figures of the 2005 base IOPI on September 29.

Major points of the revision are as follows:
- The Input Price Index will newly cover inputs from service sectors in addition to raw and intermediate materials, fuel and energy consumed in the production processes of the manufacturing industry.
- Major sector "Electrical machinery" will be divided into three major sectors, "Electrical machinery," "Information & communications equipment," and "Electronic components."
- The 2005 Base Linked Index for manufacturing industry sector will be offered from January 1975, and for major sector will be offered from January 1980.
- The release of Output/Input Price Ratio Index will be stopped.
The new monthly release schedule is as follows:
The preliminary figures are released on the 20th working day of the following month. The release date may be brought forward a few working days when the number of working days in the month is limited.
