With the termination of the Asset Purchase Program, items listed below, which had previously been placed in sub-categories of the Program, have been reorganized.

  1. (1) JGBs
  2. (2) Treasury Discount Bills
  3. (3) CP
  4. (4) Corporate Bonds
  5. (5) Pecuniary Trusts (Indexed-Linked Exchange-Traded Funds [ETFs] Held as Trust Property)
  6. (6) Pecuniary Trusts (Japan Real Estate Investment Trusts [J-REITs] Held as Trust Property)
  7. (7) Funds-Supplying Operations against Pooled Collateral

Accompanying the changes, some figures in the item, "Others", have been revised.

1. Monthly Releases

See Attachment (Stock table [PDF 62KB], Flow table [PDF 63KB]) for details.

  • Items (1), (2), and (7) have respectively been consolidated into existing items under the same heading (accordingly, figures in sub-categories of these items are reported reflecting the consolidation).
  • Items (3) through (6) are now independent items under the same heading.

2. Long-Term Time-Series Data

In terms of enhancing continuity of data, the following changes have been made.

  • New items, "Japanese Government Bonds (JGBs)", "Treasury Discount Bills", and " Funds-Supplying Operations against Pooled Collateral", reflecting the aforementioned consolidation, have been established. Accordingly, updating of items (1), (2), and (7), as well as those under the same heading, has been terminated (similar changes have been made to items in sub-categories of JGBs and Treasury Discount Bills. Note that the item in a subcategory of the discontinued item, "Funds-Supplying Operations against Pooled Collateral", is still extant and continues to be updated, reflecting the consolidation of item (7)).
  • Items (3) and (4) are now independent items under the same heading. In addition, discontinued items, "Outright Purchases of CP (through December 2009)" and "Outright Purchases of Corporate Bonds (through December 2010)", have respectively been consolidated into them and deleted from the list.
  • Items (5) and (6) are now independent items under the same heading.
