Changes in the Format of "Market Operations by the Bank of Japan"

The Bank of Japan will change the format of "Market Operations by the Bank of Japan." The details are as follows:

1. Daily data (from October 6, 2025)

  1. (1) The release format will be changed from HTML to Excel. Additionally, the data for ''Offers'' and ''Results'' will be combined into a single file. The file will be written in both Japanese and English, and the same file will be released on the Japanese and English websites.
  2. (2) A new item "Yield" will be added to "Offers." The upper limit on the selling yields of Securities lending facility (SLF) and other related items, which were previously shown in "Loan Rate" of "Offers," will be presented in the newly created "Yield" item.
  3. (3) The issues of Japanese government securities sold through SLF, which were previously shown in the notes of "Results," will be released separately in "The Securities Sold through Securities Lending Facility (Sales of JGSs under Repurchase Agreements)" in Excel format. The Excel file will be updated on a daily basis, and one month's worth of data will be combined into a single file.
  4. (4) The data will be available at the following URL:

Data prior to the change will remain on the Bank's website in HTML format until the end of the year following their publication. However, only the October 2025 data prior to the change will be retroactively released in Excel format as well.

2. Monthly data (for October 2025, to be released in November 2025)

As specified in 1., the items "Issues to Be Sold" and "Amounts of Successful Bid by Issue" under SLF will be released separately in "The Securities Sold through Securities Lending Facility (Sales of JGSs under Repurchase Agreements)" in Excel format, combining one month's worth of data into a single file. Thus, these items in "Market Operations by the Bank of Japan (Monthly)" will be discontinued.
